Carl L. Moore, 79, of Ottumwa, died at 8:30 p.m. July 22, 2019 at the University of Iowa Hospitals & Clinics in Iowa City.

He was born March 7, 1940 in Putnam County, MO to Daniel J. and Emma J. Bonebrite Moore. Carl married Mary A. Ward and they later divorced. He married Barbara Glover on September 18, 1998 and she preceded him in death on April 20, 2009.

A graduate of Ottumwa High School, Carl worked in auto body at Glover Ford and owned and operated Carl's Body Shop.

He was a member of the Vintage Crusiers Car Club of Southeast Iowa.

Carl is survived by step-children, Gerry "Red" Countryman, Kerry Countryman, Sarah Whennen and Leah Milot.
He was preceded in death by his daughter, Tammy Hendrichmeyer and a brother.

His body has been cremated. Private inurnment will be in McCormick Cemetery near Highland Center.
